Thank you to all of the donors who have helped to purchase white canes for the blind and visually impaired students!  With donations collected so far, we will be able to supply 15 students with canes.  Please help spread the word about this campaign and let’s see if we can increase the number of students served to at least 30 by the end of the campaign (Thursday).

We are excited to announce that the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation is going to be featured on Groupon.com with a G-Team campaign, starting January 24-26, 2012. G-Team is a community outreach initiative within Groupon that brings communities together to do good, have fun, and make an impact. G-Team has been working in Indianapolis to help mission-driven organizations like ours raise money and raise awareness, channeling the collective buying power of Groupon followers and our local supporters.

On Tuesday, October 4, the Indiana Blind Children's Foundation hosted an open house to officially launch the Foundation's major gift program, the Luminous Society, dedicate the new Foundation offices, and recognize a valuable contributor and board member, Nolan Lackey.  A plaque was dedicated that lists the names of major donors to the Foundation, and Mr. Lackey was presented with a personal recognition gift for his generosity.

On July 16th, 2011, nearly 100 riders from the Mars Hill Charity Riders took part in a day-long ride and silent auction to benefit the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation.  The ride started at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which gave riders the opportunity to talk with some students and learn more about the technological devices that the students use to assist them in their academic programs.
